A few weeks back I posted that I would be making an emergency trip back to the states as my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to his bones. I so appreciate your prayers and I want to share what God has done.
My dad seems to go through a cycle where his pain increases, he lands in the hospital, they get his pain under control and then we take him home weaker than he was before. After the last cycle, my brother and I were aware that we could not give him the care he needed at home much longer. The Lord provided a way for my dad to get the care he needed and he is very happy with his arrangements. We hit a few snags along the way, but as I told my dad God has moved mountains for us!
My dad has opted to try chemo. His first treatment is Tuesday. We are unsure how this will go, but it is his decision. I am still near him staying in his house and visiting my kids occasionally.
I told a friend recently that I don’t know how to pray about this. I do pray for wisdom and that God would show us what we need to do for today. He has answered that prayer every.single.day. He has also given us the strength and the courage to do what needs to be done. I give Him all the glory. We know what the outcome will be, we just don’t know when. I know God will give us the strength and courage to go through that valley as well. Thank you to all those who are praying. God is answering and He is so good!!!
Thank you for the update ~ rejoicing at God’s goodness to you daily. Continued prayers.

God is in control, and He knows when He will take him home. I pray for comfort from his pain. 2 Corinthians 5:8-11
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
